Steps to be followed for TIN Verification:
  • Please dial the toll free number 1800 2200 17 from a BSNL / MTNL landline phone from anywhere in India.
  • Welcome message will be played by the Interactice Voice Response (IVR) System.
  • The system will prompt you to choose '1' for English and / or '2' for Hindi.
  • Select the required language.
  • The system will prompt you to enter the 11 digit TIN of the dealer you wish to verify.
  • Now enter the 11 digit TIN number.
  • The system will prompt you the dealer details of the corressponding TIN.
  • Presently using Toll Free Number TIN can be verified for dealers registered under Central Sales Tax Act in the following States
    Andhra Pradesh / Bihar / Delhi / Haryana / Madhya Pradesh / Orissa / Punjab / Rajasthan / West Bengal (As on 07-Aug-2007).
    For updated list of other States, visitors are advised to check by logging on to the website of Tax Information Exchange System (TINXSYS)
